by on May.29, 2010, under RHEL5, Ubuntu, ubuntu 10.04, ubuntu 7.10, ubuntu 8.10, ubuntu 9.04, Ubuntu 9.10

In Ubuntu 8.10 when ever I tried to connect the wireless that time showing  “default keyring can’t unlock error”. For resolving I have removed the “default.keyring” file .gnome folder.

rm ~/.gnome2/keyrings/default.keyring

After that I have tried to setup wirelss network, It ask to setup the new password.
Then we can to setup the wireless network without any issue.

Unlike most, I must have entered some arbitrary password for my keyring, which always locked me out. This is by far the best and easiest answer I have found. After using the rm command, I have successfully recreated a password I can remember. Thank you.
